What a wonderful conversation piece this 3-D adaptation is and is great in any collection!
Daumier captures the exchange of minds and legal briefs between these two 19th-century lawyers. Taken from a Daumier lithograph, this sculpture is a faithful adaptation in three dimensions of the original. See the original lithograph in "Other Images" below.
HONORE DAUMIER (1808-1879) French artist, lithographer, caricaturist and painter who was famed for his biting satire. He was imprisoned once for six months in 1832 after drawing a cartoon of King Louis Philippe.
