Michalangelo and da Vinci Statue Fine Art Replicas
About The Artists
Michelangelo was born in
1475 in Caprese, Italy. He was raised in Florence, Italy and later, during the
prolonged illness and the death of his mother, lived with a stonecutter and
his family in the town of Settignano where his father owned a marble quarry
and a small farm. From 1490 to 1492, Michelangelo attended Lorenzode Medicci’s
school and was influenced by many prominent people who expanded his ideas on
art. It was at this time that he began his sculptural works of art.
Leonardo da
Vinci (1452-1519) was a man of many talents, among them being a scientist,
mathematician, engineer, inventor anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect,
botanist, musician and writer. He worked in Rome, Bologna, Venice and France.
da Vinci is often considered the most talented man that ever lived!
